All lessons this Summer will be held at the George I. Spatcher Memorial Pool located at 79 North Avenue.
Limited Space - Sign Up Early- Ages 4+
Red Cross certified lifeguards who are also trained in C.P.R. give our swim lessons. Lessons are offered in two weekday (M-F) sessions. If uncertain which level to register your child for the instructors will evaluate her/him at the first session and place them in the appropriate group.
Cost
The cost for each session is $50.00.
Out of state residents are not eligible for swim lessons.
If you pre-registered for lessons and purchased a season's pass via the program registration form, your pass will be available at the pool you selected on your registration form starting on June 28th when the pools open. If you are only purchasing a season's swim pass please note on the registration form which pool you will be attending. Upon arrival at the pool notify staff that you have pre-paid for a pass either through registering for a swim lesson or purchase of a pass.
Location
All group swim lessons will be offered exclusively at the Spatcher Pool located at 79 North Avenue.
Beginner
Monday - Friday 9:10am - 9:50am
Designed for a child's introduction to the pool, children will learn basic beginning skills for floating, swimming and safety. Water adjustment is introduced using fun games and songs. Buoyancy and breath control will be taught. Focus on safety and pool rules. Bubbles are welcome at these levels.
Beginner Plus
Monday - Friday 10:00am - 10:40am
Children entering this level should already be comfortable being in the water and have a familiarity with basic floating skills and pool rules. At this level children will be introduced to the deep end of the pool and treading water. Instruction will focus on stroke readiness using the front and back crawl strokes and front and back glides.
