November 12, 2021- During the week of November 15- 19, 2021, the contractor will be tying in the following roads to the new water main on Read Street: Kensington Road, Rowse Way, Jayne Street, Tanya Drive, Colleen's Way, Barbara Lane, and Ed Ledger Drive. Water service will intermittently be  interrupted to the affected streets and Read Street from November 15 through November 19. When service is restored, some discoloration of the water may result, but should clear within 24 hours.

October 22, 2021- The piping for the temporary water service was damaged at the corner of Read Street and Ed Ledger Drive. The crew is on site for repair. Residents on Read Street between Laura Drive and Jayne Street, including side streets, will have interrupted water service until the repair is made. This is expected to take several hours. This disruption may cause discolored water along the length of Read Street, including all side streets, West Street, County Street, and other surrounding areas. Please avoid washing laundry and using bleach during this time, as the discoloration may cause staining.

September 30, 2021- On October 4-7, 2021, the contractor will be tying in the following sides streets to the temporary water main on Read Street: Laura Drive, Arline Drive, Ed Ledger Drive, Barbara Lane, Colleen's Way, Morse Avenue, and Tanya Drive. Residents on these streets may have intermittent interruptions in water service between the hours of 8AM and 4PM on those days. If your service is interrupted, the water may be discolored when turned back on. if this happens, please run the COLD water until it is clear. We apologize for any inconvenience as we work toward completing the last leg of the water main replacement on Read Street.

September 15, 2021- On Tuesday, September 21, the contractor will be excavating test pits related to this project. This will lead to intermittent interruptions in water service for residents on Jayne Street, Kensington Road, and that area of Read Street.

August 24, 2021- Phase 1 of the Read Street water main replacement is complete. The contractor is moving the temporary water line in order to place residents on the remainder of Read Street and associated side streets on temporary water in the next week or two. all residents will be informed of any planned water service interruptions through web updates and hand delivery.

August 3, 2021- The water new water main on Read Street has been installed from West Street to Laura Drive. The new main is in the process of p=being pressure tested and chlorinated. once this is complete, the crew will begin tying residents on that stretch of Read over to the new main and begin laying bypass piping for temporary service to the next section.

July 21, 2021- For needed work at the 7 Mile River crossing, residents are asked to enter and exit Read Street from County Street instead of West Street for the next few days.

July 20, 2021- Read Street will be open to residents only on Monday through Friday from 7AM-5PM until July 30, 2021. This is for the necessary water main replacement project.

Installation of bypass piping will start on June 21, with water main installation work beginning July 6. The main installation will begin at the West Street end of Read Street.

Work on Read Street is slated to begin with installation of temporary water services beginning the last week in June and water main work to begin after the 4th of July.
