Sidewalk Repair Work

RE: Kendall Avenue, Foley Street, Angell Street, Oak Street, Shaw Avenue and Shaw Street sidewalk construction and paving

Dear Resident,
Beginning Monday, April 09, 2018, the City of Attleboro will begin repairing sidewalks along the above mentioned roadways The sidewalk construction will take place over several weeks, and the construction is weather dependent. Crews will complete one side first and then move to the other side of the street to maintain pedestrian access. The first phase of construction will include removal of the existing sidewalk. Following this, curbing will be realigned. Next, sidewalks will be poured. The final phase of the sidewalk construction will include repair of driveways. Public Works crews and our contractor will work with each resident to try and minimize the disruption caused by the construction. Once all of the sidewalk work has been completed, the City is planning to resurface the affected roadways. Additional notification will be distributed before the resurfacing work begins, so that residents can be aware and may adequately prepare. We recognize that roadway construction may also bring dust and noise. Please accept our advance apologies for any inconvenience caused. Your patience is very much appreciated. If you have any questions, or need more information, please contact me at 508-223-2222, ext. 3154 or by e-mail at dpwsupervisor@cityofattleboro.us.
Respectfully,
Michael R. Tyler
