  1. Family Open Gym-Bartek Recreation Center

    October 13, 2019, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Bartek Recreation Center

    The Bartek Recreation Center, located at 81 Pine Street, offers supervised open gym and recreation activities from 12:00 noon – 4:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays during the months of October through April. There is no charge for this activity which is open to Attleboro residents only. The weekend of October 5th and 6th is the first weekend of open gym this season. There no full court basketball allowed during weekend open gym, as we continue to strive for this program to be family and youth oriented. Please note that this is not available for team practices, etc. for those participating in youth leagues. Our gymnasium offers three basketball courts which can also be used for soccer, playing catch or other activities. The recreation room offers two pool tables, ping-pong, and foosball. Our lounge offers a 55” HDTV, DVD player and receiver – all with surround sound.

  19. Halloween Parties - Bartek Recreation Center & Coelho Middle School

    October 31, 2019, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

    The City of Attleboro will hold its annual Halloween parties from 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Wednesday, October 31st at both the Bartek Recreation Center on 81 Pine Street and the Robert J. Coelho Middle School at 99 Brown Street. In addition to each child receiving a Trick-or-Treat bag filled with many goodies each location offers pizza, music provided by a DJ, various games and prizes. The Bartek Center party offers a moonwalk while the South Attleboro party includes a costume contest for various age groups. The parties are supported by the generous donations of local businesses and individuals. Both parties are chaperoned by adult volunteers and it is anticipated that 200 children will attend each party. To donate or volunteer, call Program Coordinator Tim Killion at 774-203-1889 #6 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Check donations made out to Community Development Halloween Fund can also be mailed to: Attleboro Recreation Department, 77 Park Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.
