  1. Youth Center Closed Today-Setting Up for Halloween Party

    October 31, 2019, All Day @ Bartek Recreation Center

    The Attleboro Youth Center, a program of the Attleboro Recreation Department, opens for the season on October 1st. This afterschool program provides a range of activities for the youth under the supervision of caring staff that encourage positive behavior. Any Attleboro youth enrolled in school between the ages of 8 and 17 can participate in this program. Activities that are available include basketball, flag football, soccer, computer homework lab, computer games, Xbox, foosball, ping pong, billiards, table games, TV lounge and more. Every youth that enters the program must sign and adhere to a Code of Conduct ensuring a fun, respectful and safe time for all that participate. Days and hours of the center are Monday-Thursday, 2:30-5:00pm and Friday evenings, beginning December 6th, from 6:00-9:00pm. There is no charge to participate as this program is supported through funding from the Community Development Block Grant Program and private donations.

  2. Halloween Parties - Bartek Recreation Center & Coelho Middle School

    October 31, 2019, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

    The City of Attleboro will hold its annual Halloween parties from 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Wednesday, October 31st at both the Bartek Recreation Center on 81 Pine Street and the Robert J. Coelho Middle School at 99 Brown Street. In addition to each child receiving a Trick-or-Treat bag filled with many goodies each location offers pizza, music provided by a DJ, various games and prizes. The Bartek Center party offers a moonwalk while the South Attleboro party includes a costume contest for various age groups. The parties are supported by the generous donations of local businesses and individuals. Both parties are chaperoned by adult volunteers and it is anticipated that 200 children will attend each party. To donate or volunteer, call Program Coordinator Tim Killion at 774-203-1889 #6 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Check donations made out to Community Development Halloween Fund can also be mailed to: Attleboro Recreation Department, 77 Park Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.
