Conservation River Clean Up
Saturday, September 30, 2023
PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE DUE TO THE WEATHER
The City of Attleboro will be hosting its 17th Annual City of Attleboro River Clean-Up on Saturday September 30th from 8:00am to 11:00am. The cleanup is held rain or shine.
Volunteers from Attleboro and surrounding towns are needed to join with the famous Attleboro River Rats for a fun morning of river clean up and trash collecting along the river banks and walking trails. City Council President Jay DiLisio and Conservation Agent Nick Wyllie serve as the co-chairs for this event. The general public, Conservation Commissioners, Attleboro Land Trust and other local groups will work alongside our elected officials including Mayor Cathleen DeSimone and members of the Attleboro City Council.
Sign up on Saturday, September 16th will be located at the Judith Robbins Riverfront Park on Riverfront Drive, Attleboro. Some supplies will be available although anyone wanting to be a "River Rat" should bring their own waders or wetsuit. Families and children are welcome to collect trash along the river walk ways. Free refreshments will once again be supplied by Dunkin Donuts.
Local sponsors are: Mayor Cathleen DeSimone, Attleboro Land Trust, Attleboro Conservation Commission, Dunkin Donuts, Rust-Oleum, and Friends of the Ten Mile River.
For more information contact Attleboro Conservation Agent Nick Wyllie at 508-223-2222 ext 3145. Volunteers and groups can sign up on the day of the clean up.
