In accordance with Chapter 255, subsection (i) of the Acts of 2020, the Board of Election Commissioners of the City of Attleboro has evaluated all polling places and determined that the following location needs to be changed for the reason stated:

WARD 5: Because the Elections Division of the Secretary of the Commonwealth's office has lifted the COVID-19 restrictions that were imposed during 2020, the Ward 5 polling place should be moved from Peter Thacher School at 160 James Street, Attleboro, MA 02703 back to the LaSalette Shrine Welcome Center at 947 Park Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.

The proposed location change has been fully evaluated to determine that it is in complete compliance with all current requirements for public health, safety and convenience, including social distancing, that it is fully accessible, that it will not have a disparate adverse impact on access to the public on the basis of race, national origin, disability, income or age, and that it will be in the best interests of the public.

Based upon the foregoing, the Board of Election Commissioners hereby respectfully requests that the Municipal Council of the City of Attleboro approve the polling place location change recommended herein.

Respectfully Submitted
